This is certainly the time of year to enjoy a backyard picnic. Although it was a little too hot for my taste during the day (over 90) it cooled down to a comfortable 80 in the evening and 75 by the time we had the party going.

The kids invited us over to enjoy their backyard with them last night. We got to help the grandsons put up the tent and get ready to enjoy it.

We also watched Ed chop wood for the new fire ring he got for his birthday.

Chuck enjoyed supervising the activities.

And Jake learned how to roast marshmallows and make s'mores out of them with chocolate and graham crackers.
