Getting a bit chilly

As our window thermometer in the family room shows, it's starting to get down around 32 degrees some mornings.

And here you can see that "the frost is on the pumpkin" so to speak.

I guess this would have been more appropriate last week for the winter solstice. Carolyn is especially glad that she has a carport for her red rocket and doesn't have to scrape off the windshield every morning.

  1. I don't normally leave comments to my own blog entries except to clarify something I said. But a dear friend of ours who either doesn't know she can post a comment or is too shy to do so emailed me the following comment:

    I just thought you ought to know that it is predicted that it will be 9 degrees F [here] tonight. I am not impressed with frost on the pumpkins. I have a friend, a former teacher from our school, who is serving with her husband in Mongolia. They wake up to -17 degrees F. She said that the people in Mongolia say that there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.
