Farewell and thanks for the memories

It probably looked like a regular family car wash in front of our house this morning but washing Grandma's car, my SUV, and Jessica and Tiffany's vans was really just a way for the kids to work off excess energy and excitement as the two grandsons Ben and Michael headed with their mom (our daughter) back to Southern California. Our daughter was anxious that they sleep most of the way rather than some version of "Are we there yet?"

Of course it was also a way for Michael and Ben to say thank you for putting us up for six weeks. And we'd have to reply that the six weeks went awfully fast and thank you for being such good kids w ith us. We at least won't be biased against doing such a thing in the future.

  1. I know the boys had a great time with you, but it was nice to have them back in primary today. Washing your car is a great way to serve those that have served you so well.
