Completing the flooring job

If you're a regular fix-it guy, you can't continue looking at a repair job that isn't finished. You keep staring at it and thinking of ways that you can fix ut.

For me that repair job was was the kitchen kick boards where all the new tile had been laid down in front of wood. Carolyn and I had long ago fixed the kick plate for the painted area

So this past weekend, when Steve and Lisa asked what they could do for us, we all agreed that this would be a good project to work on.

Steve is a good worker, measuring carefully and cutting even more carefully. Although I didn't think the boards needed staining, he did. He even found a can of stain in our paint storage area. He measured and set all the boards then removed them so he could apply the stain and urethane on a table instead of the cold tile floor.

Hammering at close quarters.

  3. Thank Lisa's parents. From what I have heard he has enough experience working with her dad to go work with a contractor.
